There are very many fathers that fall as victim's to incarceration. But these father's are not only leaving behind their wife's or girlfriends they are leaving behind their children. Most father's that are incarcerated have 2 or more children, and most of these men behind bars are between the age 24-55. The most frequent age of the lost of a father due to prison is 8. Some of these young children even experience breakdowns emotionally and physically. The type of crimes most fathers that are incarcerated are violent, property, drug, and public order offenses.
