Prison Sexuality

I was reading a piece by Daniel H. Harris that caught my attention on males that are incarcerated and how they feel about their sexuality. In this piece he mentioned a lot about how men feel after they have been incarcerated. One thing is that men loose their self-esteem once they have been incarcerated and feel hopeless or frustrated since they are unable to meet their own sexual needs, so they will most of the time rape other inmates. The victims of these rapes are shameful as well and blames theirselfs for being raped and incarcerated. Most of the men that are raped in prison are young men most of the time on their first offense. The men that rape these young individuals are some times known as "Sexual Predators". Daniel made a few suggestion that the he believed that the inmates should be able to have and some I quite agree with like: inmates should be provided condoms, and that they should be classified by age. I agree with these two because giving the inmates condoms upon request could minimize the what STD's have been connected with prison rapes. Also, by age so they will not have to deal with maybe the bullying process by older more intimidating men. In all this was a minature look at this aspect.
